Chinese company Xiaomi plans to cooperate with Great Wall Motors to produce electric cars, and according to various media reports, it will usher in a new day in 2023.

According to Reuters and various media reports, the Chinese company Xiaomi plans to use the Great Wall Motors plant to produce electric cars and launch them in 2023. According to information released by the news agency, Xiaomi CEO Lai Jun believes that hardware manufacturing will be the biggest driving force for the two brands in the electric car race.

Alan Kang, senior analyst at LMC Automotive, told Reuters: “Xiaomi hopes to find a mature car manufacturer that provides model infrastructure, so that it can play to its advantages in mobile Internet technology.”

Great Wall Motors, headquartered in Baoding, is China’s largest pickup truck manufacturer and launched its own brand of electric and smart cars earlier this year. It also established an electric car factory in China with BMW of Germany.
