The White House asks governors to get ready to immunize young children against COVID-19.
NBC News ReportsThe Biden administration stated that children as young as five could be vaccinated almost immediately after November.
On Tuesday, the White House informed governors that sufficient supplies exist to vaccine the 28 million children aged 5-11.
After the vaccine has been approved, the federal government will send doses of the vaccine to thousands of locations including pharmacies and health clinics. That reports ABC News.
The Pfizer BioNTech vaccine is approved currently for children between 12 and 15 years old. It is also fully approved for adults 16 years and older.
