El Paso’s school goes undefeated to Florida Atlantic Owls
UTEP Miners are now trying to restore their winning streak after seeing it end. However, they will be facing a tough test as they face UTSA Road Runners on Saturday. This team is the undefeated American Conference team that led the campaign. El Paso School was next.
“After the FAU match, I told the team in the locker room that they were not less important because of the failure. It made it more important. This is the game we need to win the division championship. It’s very important,” Dimel said at his weekly news conference.
El Paso’s school was defeated by 23-20 in a Florida Atlantic Owls (FAU), visit last week. This result ended the Miners’ undefeated situation in the conference game.
Jeff Traylor, UTSA Roadrunner coach, said that today’s match against the Miners would be “a great game.” The San Antonio team is ranked 16/18 in the country.
On October 23, just before Goodbye Week began, UTSA easily won at Los Angeles Polytechnic University. The score was 45-16.
“They are a very strong football team (UTEP). Treler stated in a press release that Dana Dimel, Coach, has done a very great job.”
Traylor stated that UTSA values the miners and knows how hard it is to play at Sun Bowl Stadium.
This duel will also be one of the top two duels at the American Conference. Los Mineros, UTEP and the 8-0 Roadrunners will be attempting to close the gap.
New Mexico will be participating
2023 U.S. Conference
The Aggies of New Mexico State University officially joined the U.S. conference. They will begin on July 1, 2023.
The US Conference announced yesterday that three additional schools will be added to the roster, including Liberty, Jacksonville State, Sam Houston State. As the alliance sought to strengthen its team, nine schools had already announced plans to attend an additional meeting in October. These new members made it happen.
