Miami- Univision is committed to streaming using PrendeTV. The service has dozens of channels and offers exclusive on-demand programs produced by Univision and Televisa and partner TV stations (such as Caracol, Globo, Cisneros, Filmrise and Nelvana).
The service launched on Tuesday has more than 40 channels and 10,000 hours of video-on-demand, including movies, serials, reality shows, children’s shows, soap operas and sports shows. The network said in a statement that within a few weeks, it will have access to Disney, Lionsgate and MGM movies.
PrendeTV is available for free to users of Amazon Fire TV, Roku, iPhone, Apple TV, Android, Android TV devices, and www.Prende.tv on the Internet.
In the letter, Univision described the launch of PrendeTV as a milestone in the company’s transformation into a new phase of growth.
Although the number of streaming services continues to grow, the company still believes that services for Hispanic audiences are not enough.
Hispanics make up 19% of the American population. According to data provided by Univision, 74% of people in this group speak Spanish, while 49% want more content in Spanish.
