Ships and planes continue to look for other possible survivors
Authorities said two people died and 23 people were hospitalized on a ship that capsized near San Diego on Sunday.
According to the San Diego Fire Department, local lifeguards, the Coast Guard and other agencies responded at 10:30 in the morning, stating that a ship capsized near the Point Loma Peninsula.
The department said in a statement that two patients died at the scene and 23 people were taken to the hospital.
The firefighters added that at noon, ships and planes were still searching the water near Cabrillo National Monument for other possible survivors.
