This is Miami’s second consecutive victory over the Patriots.

Tagovailoa finished a 202-yard touchdown with an interception on 16 of 27 attempts and also ran 3 yards to help guide the defense against the Patriots. They manage them with an offense that doesn’t involve crowds and a formation that doesn’t have runners. Dewant Parker was able to catch four passes at 81 yard.
This is Miami’s second consecutive win against the Patriots. Tagovailoa was also the leader of the Dolphins in last season’s second meeting.
Miami led 17-10 in third quarter due to the three-yard link between Tagovailoa & Waddle.
Miami was the end of Mac Jones’ NFL debut. Jones became the Patriots’ first rookie quarterback since Drew Bledsoe 1993. Jones completed 29 out of 39 attempts for 281 yard and touchdowns. Damien Harris completed 23 passes for 100 yards but an error cost the New England team their chance of making a comeback.
In the fourth quarter, the Patriots cut the score to 17-16. It took them over 5 minutes to reach Dolphins’ 15 yard line. They couldn’t come any closer, and Nick Folk scored his third field goal with just 10 minutes and 36 second remaining in the game.
