MEMPHIS, Tennessee (AP) — Authorities say two postal workers have been fatally shot at a Memphis postal facility, the third high-profile shooting in western Tennessee in recent weeks.
On Tuesday, officials identified a third postal worker as the gunman and said that he died from self-inflicted gunshot wounds.
Susan Link, US Postal Inspector, stated to reporters that the three postal workers had been shot at a Memphis courier building.
We have not been able to identify the motive.
The shooting took place at a postoffice in the historic Orange Mound neighborhood southeast of Memphis.
In recent weeks, Tennessee has been the center of high-profile shootings. Late September saw a man shoot 15 people at a Kroger killing one. He also died of a gunshot wound he himself.
A teenager was then shot at school days later. The Memphis police arrested the shooter.
