In a four-hour somersault match, the El Paso Chihuahua team made their debut in the 2021 Triple-A West season, defeating Tacoma Rainiers 7-6 in 12 games.
The game was held at Cheney Stadium and was the first of a six-game series. The second game will start at 8:05 this Friday evening.
Jarred Kelenic placed Tacoma in the fifth inning with a single home run. El Paso made two runs at the top of the seventh inning, but Rainiers immediately tied with Kelenic’s second back row suit at the end of the same inning.
The two rounds are tied for scoring, and the nine rounds are over. The game must be decided in the extra round.
Each team scores at least one round in each additional game. The special feature is that the Tacoma team added the same number of lines as the Chihuahua team. This is why the game was extended until the twelfth round. El Paso added two rounds, and Rainier added another round.
Rest assured Jordan Guerrero is the winning pitcher. He pitched two rounds and Tacoma filled the house and he won the final round.
