According to an agreement with the White House, the transportation company will take people to the U.S. vaccination center against Covid-19 for free.
Washington— The White House announced on Tuesday a series of measures aimed at increasing the U.S. vaccination rate against Covid-19, including partnerships with ride-hailing companies Uber and Lyft to achieve the president’s goal of reopening on July 4. Joe Biden.
According to the agreement, the White House said in a statement that these apps will provide “free for anyone who will be vaccinated” with travel to one of the mass vaccination centers.
The Biden administration detailed: “As part of this historic agreement, Lyft and Uber will facilitate travel to and from thousands of vaccination sites.”
“The measure will be launched in the next two weeks and will continue until July 4.”
The White House said that the latest action also includes the installation of vaccination centers in community colleges.
On Tuesday, President Biden will hold a virtual meeting with the governor to discuss mass vaccination plans. All these measures indicate the president’s plan that 70% of adult Americans (about 160 million people) will be vaccinated on the country’s Independence Day.
