President Lopez Obrador will provide athletes with stimulus measures not disclosed
Mexico City- Athletes participating in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games will each receive 240,000 pesos, because they have already participated in this amount. The gold medal will be worth 740,000 pesos and the silver medals at 560,000 pesos. Bronze medals will cost 240,000 pesos. The President decided that Andrés Manuel López Obrador will be delivered on October 6.
The Chief Executive promised the President that the National Sports Chief would provide the stimulus measures to support the fourth place at the Paralympic and Olympic Games. However, the national sport chief didn’t specify what the measures would be.
According to the person in charge of the organisation, these bonuses will be supplemented by the National Sports Committee (Conade), which will provide 3,000,000 pesos per Olympic or Paralympic first medal, 2,000,000 pesos each for the silver and 1 million for the third. As he stated before leaving Mexico, the amount all participants will receive is 240,000 pesos. The gold, silver, and bronze medals will be 560, 250,000, and 250,000, respectively.
The President will give a check to six athletes only in one operation on October 6th, and then the rest to all.
Conrad’s operating rules provide Conrad with 3 million pesos to buy gold, 2,000,000 pesos to purchase silver and 1,000,000 pesos to buy bronze. Guevara also stated that Paralympic athletes are the same.
Guevara also said that athletes are aware that after the Olympics, there will be scholarship adjustments. This means that it could drop by up to 80%. Many Olympians complained that the High Performance Sports Fund Fodepar no longer has Operation rules.
But he said that once new mechanisms for delivering these monthly perceptions have been defined, athletes will be able to return to their competitive levels.
