Omar Quintero, Mexico’s coach, and other national team members have been waiting in Mexico City for the Basketball World Cup qualifier window.
Mexico’s men’s basketball coach Omar Quintero arrived in Chihuahua. On Monday, the qualifiers began to meet. They will look for a local Cup qualifier to represent Mexico in the FIBA World’s First Window in 2023.

Quintero Pereda started training with players already available at the Manuel Bernardo Aguirre Stadium on Monday afternoon, including Chihuahuan Esteban Roacho, and watched their FIBA bubble on November 25 before deciding who will be the official 12 on the roster.
The other members of the pre-selection will join as permitted by their team’s commitment.
The players who have arrived in Chihuahua include Jorge Camacho, Owen Avalos, Chihuahua’s Esteban Roagio and Barcelona basketball player Gail Bonilla. They will be making their National team debuts, with center Daniel Amigo.
The Manuel Bernardo Aguirre Stadium will host Group D matches. They include the United States against Cuba (3:30pm) and Mexico against Puerto Rico (7:00 pm) on November 28th. 11 Puerto Rico will take on Cuba (3:30pm) and Mexico against America (7:00 PM) on the 29th. Puerto Rico is another team that arrived under coach Nelson Cologne’s strategy.
The information released by the FIBA shows that they have high expectations for basketball because this country is a basketball enthusiast and has participated in the past nine consecutive FIBA World Cups.
