Moscow hosted a meeting on Wednesday 20th. The meeting was attended by as many as 10 countries. A Taliban delegation was also present to discuss the possibility that assets of the Afghan government may have been frozen in foreign countries prior to the freeze.
Madrid (European News).- Jen Psaki, White House Press Secretary, confirmed that the United States supported the talks in Moscow with Taliban this week and hopes to continue participating in the future.
“This forum is constructive and effective. “We hope to be in able to participate,” stated Psaki. He described the meeting’s format as an “expanded trioika”, referring to Russia and the United States of America, China, Pakistan, and China.
He said, “We could not attend this week because of logistical reasons, but will do so in future.”

Russia, China (India, Pakistan), Tajikistan, Uzkistan and Kazakhstan were all present at the conference. Abdul Salam Hanafi, Taliban Deputy Prime Minister, described the meeting as “good” & “friendly” he assured all delegations of his support for the Afghan government’s assets being unfrozen.
