Madrid (European News Agency). – A former Minneapolis police agent Derek Chauvin appealed Friday against his death for George Floyd’s death. After the agent kneed on him, the agent sentenced him to 22-years and six-months in prison. Although the man claimed he couldn’t breathe, Chauvin held onto his neck for a few moments.
He claimed that he did NOT have the funds or legal representation to participate in this process. The appeal was filed at last minute and stated that the prosecutors suffered “malfeasance”, “prejudice” during proceedings against him. Use force
The court was also criticised for not allowing defense members to be withdrawn that were clearly biased in the selection process and for its decision to “reduce”, the recognition of Freud’s 2019 arrest, as accepted by CBS. .
The 12 members of the popular jury pointed out in April that Shavin, whom the prosecutor’s office has demanded a sentence of 30 years, was guilty of second-degree involuntary murder, third-degree murder, and second-degree murder. Freud was killed in May 2020.
Chauvin was not recorded so he could be facing 40 years prison for involuntary 2nd-degree murder, 25 years for 3rd-degree murder, or 10 years in 2nd-degree murder.
Freud, who was accused of using a fake bill to pay for cigarettes, was taken into custody outside a Minneapolis agency in May 2020. Xiao Wan pressed down on Freud’s neck for over nine minutes before he put him in handcuffs.
Passers-by took photos of Freud’s passing, which caused outrage around the globe. Sometimes, demonstrations and mobilizations can cause riots which once again bring up the issue of institutional racism.
