UACJ Classical Ballet will perform “Nutcracker” again on December 3, 4, and 5. It will take place at the Victor Hugo Las Combanda Theater located in the North Paso Cultural Center.
The academic authority invites the public to participate in the Christmas classic with María Galán Jurado as the chief conductor. There will be 50 participants, including symphony orchestras.
“For us, it’s great to be back on the stage and convene the public again to the Victor Hugo Rascon Banda Theater as in previous years,” said Alpha Elena Escobedo, general manager of UACJ Cultural Communication and Science Communication. .
He said that more than 160 people contributed to the performance, including students, teachers, musicians, technicians, and other participants.
The group is composed of students from the university who are joined by Soloists Yoalli Suarez and Alejandro Mendoza, both members of the National Dance Company.
The ballet “Nutcracker”, which is performed around the world, cannot be missed. This is a significant challenge. We had to make it virtual last year, but this year, we have all the characters back in the theater,” stated the director.
Tchaikovsky’s beautiful piece for this fairy tale will be performed by the UACJ Youth Symphony Orchestra and guest musicians.
“Yes, many’nutcrackers’ can be seen everywhere, but you rarely have the opportunity to see the works of live orchestras, guest soloists and everything related to them,” added the orchestra conductor Lizandro García Alvarado.
Tickets to the show are sold through Don Boletón, and prices range from 150 to 250 pesos.
