Sylvia Weinstock was the Queen of Cakes and she died on Monday at her New York City residence.
According to her statement, Weinstock was surrounded at her funeral by her family. Instagram account.
Weinstock stated that she began baking wedding cakes around 50 after having survived breast cancer.
Mariah Carey and Oprah were impressed by her cakes, as well as Jennifer Lopez and Jennifer Lopez.
The Instagram post stated that “Her trademark was an exquisite cake that dazzled the eyes and equally pleased the most discerning palate: It had to be as deliciously delicious as it was beautiful.”
Weinstock appeared on many TV shows, including “Master Chef”, “Gossip Girls” and “Nailed It,” a Netflix series.
Weinstock was 91.
