SWEDEN — Magdalena Andersson became Sweden’s first female prime minister on Wednesday. But she resigned within hours of being elected.
According to Sweden’s official Twitter account Andersson resigned after a defeat in Parliament’s budget, during which the budget of the opposition party was approved.
Andersson is the leader of the Social Democratic Party. She stated that she would like to become prime minister again but with a single-party government. BBC.
