Hollywood stars, comedians, and politicians sent their well-wishes after hearing Norm Macdonald died.
The comedian reportedly battled cancer for nine years.
Conan O’Brien stated that he was “absolutely devastated” to learn of Macdonald’s passing.
I am completely devastated by the death of Norm Mcdonald. Norm had the most original comedic voice I have ever heard. He was relentlessly funny and uncompromising. I will never be able to laugh as hard again. Today is a sad day for us all.

Jim Carrey described Macdonald as a “honest, courageous comedy genius.”
After a courageous 10 year battle, my dear friend Norm MacDonald died. He was one our most treasured gems. A comedian genius, honest and courageous. He is my hero.

Bob Dole, who Macdonald famously played on Saturday Night Live, also paid tribute to the late comedian, calling him a great talent.

Canadian Prime Minister also paid tribute to Macdonald, who was born in Canada. Macdonald was an inspiration to him and made the world a more fun place.
