Next week Amazon will hold its traditional hardware event where every year, it announces news centered on Alexa. 2020 saw the arrival of the fourth generation Amazon Echo and Amazon Luna, as well as new Fire TV Sticks and security solutions by Ring.
A few products from the Echo family that have been rumored for some time are being revealed in 2021. This is according to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg.
The first of these is the Amazon Echo Show on the wall, which would have a 15-inch screen (the largest on an Echo Show). The device can be hung on the wall and could act as a control center for smart homes.
Echo Auto 2 is due out this year. It can make any vehicle smarter with Alexa’s power. The new device will have a better design and perform better.
The first-generation Echo Auto has not yet been officially released in Mexico.
The soundbar with Alexa is one of the most intriguing products. It could be integrated Fire TV OS, which would make it a direct competitor for the Roku Streambar. The most interesting thing about the soundbar with Alexa is that it would include an integrated camera for video calls from your TV.
Gurman stated that Alexa’s robot that follows people around their house might come to an abrupt halt. A Business Insider report mentioned that the company has certain doubts about this product, and that its biggest fear is that this robot could become another “Fire Phone”; the smartphone created by Amazon.
The company was also working to create a smart microphone that can be used with Alexa to sing along. It appears that the project team has disbanded. The product might not be available on the marketplace.
