The CEO of Kering Group stated that being completely hair-free is the right approach. We do this out of faith, morality and modernity
Paris- Its parent company Kering Group said today that the fashion company Saint Laurent will become a completely fur-free brand in next year’s collection.
Kering stated in a statement that Brioni, the Italian menswear brand, will also cease wearing fur. This will allow luxury brands such as Gucci and Alexander McQueen to become mature organizations. Use fur.
Francois-Henri Pinault, CEO of Kering Group, said: “Totally fur-free is the right approach. We do this out of conviction, ethics and modernity.”
For years, animal rights organizations have been lobbying luxury brands to give up fur. This material has been abandoned by many Parisians, including Stella McCartney, Chanel and others in recent years.
The animal organization Humane Society International celebrated Friday’s news, saying it “put pressure on the few fashion brands that continue to sell honey and ask them to do the same.”
Paris Fashion Week will kick off on Monday and will showcase digital and physical collections in the French capital.
