California authorities say they are looking for 80 suspects in the ransom of a Nordstrom store in California.
According to a news releaseWalnut creek police claim that the incident took place in Walnut Valley around 9 p.m. on Saturday.
Two employees were attacked and one pepper-sprayed during the smash-and-grab robbery, according to police.
Eyewitnesses report that the suspects were dressed in ski masks, and carried crowbars or other weapons.
Police claim that the suspects escaped in up to 10 cars after robbing the shop.
Officials stated that one vehicle could be stopped by police and two people arrested, one with a gun.
According to police, a third suspect was located nearby and taken possession of some stolen Nordstrom merchandise.
Walnut Creek police issued a communique on Sunday after receiving reports that Nordstrom’s robbers planned to repeat the act.
“The Walnut creek Police Department is monitoring intelligence that suggests the group of thieves who took from Broadway Plaza Nordstrom last evening are considering similar activity today,” police stated. “This has not been confirmed, but out of an abundance of caution, we’re alerting businesses and residents to be prepared. The PD is calling out add’l officers and reserves, and some stores may consider closing early or taking other precautions.”
Police didn’t know the exact time or whereabouts of their targets.
