MOAB, Utah – In another new development of a missing persons case that has received national attention, a Utah police department said its officers were responding to an incident involving Gabby Petito and Brian Laundrie.
Petito, 22, was recently reported missing by her family in New York. She was with 23-year-old Laundrie (her boyfriend), while on vacation to several national parks in the summer. Her family claimed that they had lost contact with her.
New information has been gathered by concerned people all over the globe, including Laundrie, who is now back in Florida and reportedly not cooperating with police.
The case also involves Utah; the pair visited national parks in the state and had also been to Salt Lake City and Ogden.
FOX 13 received confirmation Tuesday evening from Moab Police that officers were responding in an incident involving the pair.
Chief Bret edge stated that the incident took place on August 12. According to Edge, officers conducted an investigation and found no evidence that would support criminal charges.
Edge indicated that they were not the ones calling police, but did not give any more details about the incident.
Petito, who is 5’5″ tall, has blue eyes and blond hair. Petito has a triangular flower tattoo on her left arm. Another is on her right arm. It says, “Let’s make it happen.”
