Madrid. (European media).-The Pakistan’s Interior Minister Rashid Ahmed warned Monday that freezing Afghan bank accounts could cause a humanitarian emergency. He expressed the hope that the Taliban will take action to stop terrorists from using the territory as a Refuge.
According to daily “dawn,” the minister stated that the world shouldn’t expect Afghanistan to become a Scandinavian nation in just eight days.
He made these remarks after intelligence chiefs representing more than a dozen nations visited Pakistan on Saturday. However, it claims that India’s wishes cannot be met under such circumstances.
This was mentioned in various media reports that targeted the Pakistani army at Panjshir Province in Afghanistan. In this regard, he once said that Islamabad’s only interest in Afghanistan is “peace, stability and development.”
Ahmed stated that the army is protecting the country’s borders to prevent any terrorist activities. He said, “We make it easy for Mullah baradar to sit down with the Americans and negotiate to reach peace.”
Concerning the evacuation of Afghan foreigners, the minister stated that between 8,000-10,000 people had arrived in the country via Afghan territory. All these people are granted 21-day visas. Those who are unable to travel due to cancellations or delays in flights will be issued one-month visas.
Ahmed said that Afghans who illegally entered Pakistan are being deported because there are not enough refugee camps.
