Some candidates complain about international travel restrictions
new York- Less than a month after the awards ceremony, the Oscars awards ceremony made new changes to its script.
Show producers Steven Soderbergh, Jesse Collins and Stacy Schell are still determined to hold a live party in Los Angeles on April 25, but today they notified the nominations at a virtual conference People, they added CCTV restrictions after someone complained about international travel.
The main event will still be held at the Union Station in Los Angeles on the red carpet, but they have special plans for the British venue. The organizers also work with local broadcasters around the world to provide satellite connections for other international nominees. They said that they have not completely ruled out Zoom, but hope they don’t have to resort to it.
Although plans and requirements are still variable, participants have been instructed to stay in isolation for 10 days before the ceremony. Even if the performance is carefully designed, everyone must wear a mask so that people don’t have to wear a mask on the stage or in the audience. Throughout the event, there will also be a series of nominees entering and leaving the meeting room.
According to the “Hollywood Reporter” report, there will be a “state-of-the-art” Covid testing center only for the Oscars, while the partnership with hotels and airlines will offset the additional costs of quarantine for nominees.
Although most of the traditional pre-Oscar events have been cancelled, there will be an open-air celebration for the nominees the day before the party.
The 93rd Academy Awards will be broadcast live from ABC on April 25th at 8:00 New York time (Greenwich Mean Time, US).
