A Texas boy aged 3 years old who has been missing since WednesdayOfficials confirmed that the woman was alive on Saturday.
Authorities reported that Christopher Ramirez and a neighbor’s dog were last seen Wednesday afternoon as Ramirez helped his mother load groceries from their Grimes County residence. He followed his dog into the woods. When the dog returned, he didn’t.
For days, search teams including FBI personnel and community volunteers had searched the area without finding any trace of the boy.
Texas EquSearch, an organization that specializes in search and recovery, made the announcement at noon on Saturday that Christopher was found. It posted a photo of Christopher, shirtless and in a car being held by a woman, but didn’t give any more details.
Authorities said that crews and volunteers from the community had searched the forest area using drones and dogs to find Christopher’s scent. Don Sowell, Grimes County Sheriff said that they had extended the search area and would continue to search the night and weekend.
Sowell claimed that there was no evidence to suggest malicious intent and that the family members were not persons in interest.
Araceli Nunez was the boy’s mother and had publicly asked for help finding Christopher.
“I request all of your assistance in finding my son. I don’t know anything about him. It’s been a while. I don’t know what to do. She asked reporters to help her at a Spanish news conference on Thursday.
“I am desperate and my heart is broken. Please help me, bring my son back,” she said.
