SAN DIEGO — San Diego police have identified the mother and son who died after falling off the third-floor concourse at Petco Park on Saturday.
According to the San Diego Police Department, Raquel Wilkins, 40 years old, and Denzel Browning-Wilkins (2 years) fell onto the sidewalk from the 300-level dining area.
Both were San Diego residents, according to authorities.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and attempted to administer medical treatment. Both victims were declared dead.
The deaths are being described by San Diego Police as “suspicious.”

KGTV spoke to a witness to the Petco Park tragedy on Monday.
According to the witness, the woman appeared happy and smiling even though she lost her balance and fell onto the ground from the bench.
The witness stated that the woman fell with her baby over the railing and climbed back up the bench about a minute later.
Police officials stated that the investigation was ongoing and that detectives were still interviewing witnesses to find evidence. “Investigators know that several people were present during the incident.”
