The Observatory stated in a statement that “in January this year alone, 12,576 Central Americans failed to find the so-called American Dream and were expelled from Mexico and the United States.”
He pointed out that, according to the official report of the immigration office of the so-called northern delta countries of Central America, deportations from these three countries “continue to increase”.
They designated 6,168 Guatemalan deportees, 4,610 Hondurans and 1,798 Salvadorans.
The statement said that in October last year, 7,270 Hondurans returned voluntarily from Guatemala and Mexico, and they traveled to the United States in a caravan.
They added that among the three countries in the Northern Triangle, the number of people deported in 2018 was close to 200,000.
As of the end of 2018, Honduras registered 75,279 deportees, Guatemala 94,482 and El Salvador registered 26,499.
