The trial will also apply to babies under six months of age
Cambridge- The American pharmaceutical company Moderna began researching a Covid-19 vaccine for children under 12 years of age, including infants under 6 months of age.
This statement is a full year after the first adult was tested for the injection dose created by the US National Institutes of Health. Now, injections are used here and in many other countries.
Moderna has also tested the vaccine on young people aged 12 to 17, but has not yet announced the findings. Research on young children will be more complicated because researchers need to determine whether they are using lower doses than adults and adolescents.
The study aims to recruit approximately 6,750 children in the United States and Canada.
