The former Las Liebres player from Tecnológico de Juárez won the national championship organized by the Monterrey Super League
Over time, several of them have established a strong friendship. This is the foundation of a group of graduates and former Tecnológico de Juárez player Liebres who are still active in basketball after 25 years and are now with the team. The Juarez masters have won numerous national championships as well as participated in international championships. In 2017, for instance, they represented Mexico in Italy.
Recently, under the leadership of head coach Jose Luis Vázquez and assistant Mario Sanchez, they participated in the national championship held by the Monterey Premier League with the two teams, with the results of the red and black teams. They won the first and third places in this category. 50 years or more
Over the years, many players have joined them from other schools or have been part of other teams.
“Some of the teams here are part of the Tecnológico de Ciudad Juárez team. Many of us have known each other from junior high school and high school, and then we have entered the technical field,” recalled Graciela Rojas, one of the players from Master Juárez. “We graduated from our professional career, because we are passionate about all of this, we formed a team called Ex Hares, we moved on, we got married, we had children, we went on, this master’s program came too late , It’s been a long time.”
Encourage me to train them, as I have been playing basketball my entire life, except for this particular team. Since the girls left Ciudad Juarez, we have been playing in the city’s first power category for about 25 years, until it’s so Many years later, now it’s our turn to be a master,” José Luis Vázquez commented.
“When it is basketball, the greatest satisfaction for me is that we won our first national championship two years back, as we had never won the first prize when we were younger. We were always second or third in the nation. We are now 50 years old. We won at age. Maru Torres shared that the national championship was a great feeling.
“First, we share a common bond through sports. Anna Maria Barragan said that the majority of us are professionals. We have a great chance to work together. The team is in a healthy environment. They have mutual respect and it is very healthy. They have won five national championships.
“Abril García was the one who brought Maxi basketball to Ciudad Juárez and the state. She moved to the city and the state, and then formed the Ciudad Juárez team. Maru Torres, Graciela Rojas invited me. Teles said that I discovered the team and signed up. My first game was in Pachuca.”
“I don’t have to be part of that group of Tec graduates, but I have been playing basketball since high school, and now I joined the maxi basketball team at the age of 44,” Ana Téllez said.
