Pacquiao was the world champion in eight events. He was also known for creating his own hierarchy and imposing it on his Mexican rivals. On his social media, he posted an emotional video titled “Goodbye Boxing”. Thanks for supporting him in his sport games.
He also said that he was sad to see his age as a boxer, having served as deputy in 2010 as well as senator from the Philippines in 2016. Today I declared my retirement. Wow… This was something I did not expect. I wanted to thank everyone for their support, especially the Filipinos, when I donned my boxing gloves.
After falling in a recent match with Cuban Yuldeniz, Ugas, Pacquiao has officially announced his retirement.
Manny was a champion boxer in the WBC Lightweight, WBC Super Lightweight and WBC Lightweight Championships. He also won the International Boxing Federation Super Lightweight Championship and the IBF Super Lightweight Championship.
