Kansas City Chiefs bounce back from a terrible first half
Kansas City –Patrick Mahoms threw three touchdowns and rushed for 337 yards. Today’s division round playoff rematch saw the Kansas City Chiefs defeat the Cleveland Browns, 33 to 29.
The Chiefs have won five consecutive games against the Browns, including a playoff win of 22-17 and their 15th victory in September. Andy Reid is now closer to 100 victories after they beat two teams.
Tyreek Hill was hit with 11 touchdown passes and rushed for 197 yards. Travis Kelce also received touchdowns as the Chiefs led 22-10 at the half.
Baker Mayfield was able to pass the ball for 321 yards but Mike Hughes intercepted him with 1:09 remaining in the game. This ended his hopes of winning. Nick Chubb ran for 83 yards with two touchdowns. Jarvis Landry and Kareem Hunt also reached the end zone from the ground.
The Browns also had a record of 1-21 in their first game since 1999, when they returned to Cleveland. This pushed their NFL record to 17 consecutive defeats. They have never won their first away game since 1994.
