LOS ANGELES (AP) — Kevin Spacey and his production companies must pay the studio behind “House of Cards” more than $30 million because of losses due to his firing from the show for sexual misconduct.
This is according to Monday’s arbitration decision.
A judge ruled that Spacey violated his contract in his treatment for crew members of the Netflix political thriller. 2017 CNN reportSpacey was accused of sexual misconduct by several members of the House of Cards production team.
Studio MRC was forced to rewrite the sixth and final seasons to remove Spacey’s main character. This resulted in tens to millions of dollars in losses.
