Jon Gruden is no more the coach for the Las Vegas Raiders.
Gruden stated that he had resigned as the head coach for the Las Vegas Raiders. I love the Raiders, and I don’t want them to become a distraction. Raider Nation is grateful to all its players, coaches and staff. Sorry, I didn’t mean to cause any harm.
Mark Davis, Raiders owner, stated that he accepted Gruden’s resignation. It was received hours later. The New York TimesPublished a report claiming Gruden made homophobic, misogynistic comments past.
The Raiders have the only openly gay NFL team. Carl Nassib was out before the season began.
Gruden had already apologized to Gruden for using a racist trope within an email, first reported by The Wall Street Journal.
Commentators on the Wall Street Journal article stated that they supported their coach.

Gruden was in the fourth year of his Raiders contract. Gruden had a 10-year contract that was worth $100 million.
According to the Twitter account, Rich Bisaccia will be acting as interim head coach.
