LOS ANGELES (AP) — Jane Powell, who starred in Golden Age Hollywood musicals, has died.
A friend of Powell said that he died from natural causes in Wilton (Connecticut) on Thursday.
Powell performed with Howard Keel’s “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers”, and she also danced with Fred Astaire, among other 20th-century movies.
Powell has performed almost her entire life. Her career began at the age of five as a radio singer in Portland, Oregon.
At 16 years old, she made her first film. She was promoted to star in large-scale music productions in mid-1950s and became a co-star.
Powell was 92 when she died in Connecticut, her home.
