The boy was seriously injured and stayed in the Turin hospital for a few days. After being discharged from hospital, the boy’s patrilineal family lived in Italy and his mother in Israel disputed custody.
Mexico City (apro).- The Italian judiciary has launched an investigation into the “kidnapping” of 6-year-old Eiran Biran, who was the only survivor of the cable car crash in Stresa, Italy on May 23. In an accident at a resort in Piedmont, Italy, his parents, younger brother, and two great-grandparents died.
The boy sustained serious injuries and was admitted to Turin Hospital for treatment. His Italian patrilineal family and his Israeli mother disputed custody after he was released from the hospital.
Aya Biranniko (a Pavia, northern Italy resident) was granted custody by Turin’s court. He demanded that he return the passport of his minor child and declared that his maternal line was entitled to visit him.
Grandpa took the child to see him on Saturday. He flew home by private jet on Sunday.
Gali Peleg, his aunt, justified the “kidnapping”, telling Radio 103 in Israel that they didn’t kidnap Eitan but instead sent him back home.
We had no information regarding Eitan’s mental and physical health following the cable car accident. We brought him home as his parents requested. They wanted him to return home but the coronavirus forced them to stay behind. But, they were not as many when we arrived here a month back, so we talked about the possibility of their return.” he said.
His aunt explained that the boy was receiving physical therapy and psychological therapy since he was discharged. The boy will also receive medical visits in Turin this week. “His bed has been empty since he was discharged from the hospital. His toys and clothes have been left behind. He stated that his new desk and notebook, as well as his pencil case, notebook, pencil bag, and books, are all ready for Monday’s school start.
It was reported that he stated that he took the bag with him to Italy to visit his grandfather and had to return it at dinner. However, when he didn’t return it, he filed a police report.
