Hopper estimates that Thanksgiving flight prices will rise at least 40% by November.
Experts say that this week is a good week to start looking for Christmas flights. Hopper recommends that travelers book Christmas flights at least four weeks in advance.
Hopper predicts that the fall will bring lower airfare for leisure travellers than the summer’s sky-high prices.
Damodaran stated that domestic airfare will see a 10% drop from $290 roundtrip this summer to $260 roundtrip in the autumn.
