The country will have the first Latin American team of the Professional E-Sports League launched in 2018
Mexico City- The love for the NBA and Mexico continues to grow, and now the basketball league will give the country a franchise, but from the NBA 2K league.
Mexico will host the first Latin American Professional E-Sports League (Latin America) team in 2018. It will feature the top NBA 2K players. Six players are part of each team, which competes with other teams for unique roles in 5v5 matches during the regular season, championships and playoffs.
Since nearly 30 year, they have won a G League team together with Los Capitanes in preseason games and official games. Now, the Spanish organization DUX Gaming has created the NBA 2K League team.
As the league continues to attract fans, players, and coaches from across the region, the addition of DUX Gaming adds to the NBA’s growing influence in Mexico and Latin America.

The NBA 2K League and DUX Gaming will collaborate with DUX Gaming’s talent and social media influencer lists (including DjMaRiiO, Kolderiu, Gravesen, and Winch) to reach a highly connected gaming community through localized content and grassroots activities.
Mexico’s DUX Gaming team will join the NBA 2K league next season in the spring of 20222. DUX Gaming, which will join Gen. G Tigers in Shanghai in 2020, will be the 24th NBA 2K League team.
