The email contained racist, homophobic, and misogynistic remarks after it was published
AmericaAfter the 2018 email in which Jon Gruden was hired as coach for the Las Vegas Raiders was published, it was revealed that Gruden had made racist, homophobic, and misogynistic comments.
Gruden signed a 10-year contract worth $100 million with Raiders in 2018. This was Gruden’s fourth year. The Wall Street Journal reported Friday that Gruden had described De Morris Smith, the leader of the NFL Players Association, in an email he sent to Bruce Allen in 2011.
According to a source familiar with the matter, Gruden was forced to resign after the New York Times reported Gruden used homophobic language against Roger Goodell and other NFL commissioners.
Gruden lost his job after the e-mails became public.
