Fort Hood identified and killed the soldier behind the company barracks.
sp. According to the military, Maxwell Hockin (26 years old) died Oct. 9.
The military stated that Hockin had been assigned since July 2017 to the 91st Engineer Battalion of Fort Hood, a Texas facility.
“The entire Saber family has been devastated by the loss of our true teammate and friend, Specialist Maxwell Hockin,” said Lieutenant Colonel Patrick Sullivan, commander of the 91st Engineer Battalion. He was an example of hard work, a mentor for his fellow colleagues, and always willing to help the team. He will be greatly missed. Maxwell’s loved ones are in our thoughts, prayers and heartfelt condolences.
Authorities have yet to reveal the cause of death for Hockin. The Criminal Investigation Command of America Army is investigating Hockin’s death.
Fort Hood has been at the center of controversy. ABC newsReports claim that 14 military leaders were suspended following the death of Spc. Vanessa Guillen. In April 2020, she was assassinated.
