FMF is arranging for the football player to participate in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The Mexican will be 21 years old when the game starts.
“We are very happy to be with Diego Leinz. He is a growing boy. He will continue to grow in the national team. He is now participating in the Olympics.
“I think he will contribute many afternoons of glory to the national team, and I hope Betis will become a player,” said Antonio Cordon, sports director of the Andalusian national team, at the Antonio La Riga event.
So far, Renez has played 709 minutes with Betis this season.
Gordon’s statement has been interpreted as Diego’s pre-announcement before the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, but so far, there has been no official statement.
