Madrid, Spain (Portaltic / EP). -The Yahoo Answers Forum website (Yahoo Answers, English) is popular for hosting questions and answers from Internet users. It announced that it will be closed after 16 years of establishment, and it will start next year. May 4.
The platform was put into operation in 2005, when the platform was created by the then Internet giant Yahoo!. (Now owned by Verizon), and has become one of the most popular Q&A portals since its inception.
Now, the Yahoo Answers homepage has begun to display a message to users warning them that the service has been terminated, which will finally take effect on May 4, Eastern Time.
However, the functionality of this page will be reduced before it is closed, and no new questions or answers will be posted from April 20 next year, and the service will only be in read mode.
Yahoo Answers explained in a Q&A document that its users will be able to download all of its content-question list, question list, answer list, answers and any images-until June 30th for a limited time. This process may take up to 30 days.
Similarly, the American company explained that the closure of the forum does not mean that the user accounts of Yahoo or other services will change, but that its users are advised to use its own search engine.
