Three former inmates have reportedly filed a federal civil rights lawsuit after they say they were forced to listen to the children’s song “Baby Shark” on repeat.
According to The OklahomanThey are suing Oklahoma County commissioners as well as the county sheriff and jail trust.
The officers placed the inmates on a wall, handcuffed them, and then played the song loudly over and over again as punishment. The Kansas City Star reported. The action was allegedly compared to torture in the lawsuit.
They were arrested in 2020. The Oklahoman reports that they will be tried in February.
According to reports, the inmates are seeking $75,000 in damages.
