Mexico City (APRO). -The Ganges is already the grave of dozens of people who probably lost their lives during Covid-19 for several days.
According to the Associated Press report, the country’s health authorities have so far recovered a total of 71 bodies thrown into the river because relatives cannot bury them in the traditional way.
The images of bodies floating in the river posted on social media aroused people’s indignation and speculation that they were victims of the covid-19 pandemic.
However, the authorities cannot prove the cause of death of the rescued through decomposition.
On Tuesday, more bodies were found floating in the river and washed into the Ghazipur area of neighboring Uttar Pradesh. Police and residents were at the scene, about 30 miles (50 kilometers) before the other bodies were found on Monday.
Local official Mangla Prasad Singh said: “We are trying to find out the source of these corpses and how they got here.”
Surinder, a resident of Ghazipur, only used his name, and he commented that the villagers did not have enough wood to burn their dead on the land.
He said: “Due to the scarcity of wood, the dead were buried in the water.” ?? About 12 or 13 villages were buried in the water.
