Unannounced visitors visited a Tennessee school recently.
WSMVSpringfield authorities reported that a deer crashed through Westside Elementary’s emergency door.
It was then stuck in a classroom.
“When I walked in the school, they said that he was really cute. I responded, “What do ya mean, him?” It was a doe, female deer, and I assumed it was not a roebuck. Kaleb Stratton from the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency informed me that it was a buck when I discovered it and saw it in class.
Wildlife officials were called in to help the unharmed and unwanted buck get back out.
Officials believe it was mating season so the deer was likely chasing a doe when it became trapped inside.
