Connor scored in the Cardinals’ first quarter in a back-to-back series, giving them a lead that they have never lost. The San Francisco team was unable to play after Connor’s first touchdown in Arizona’s second half.
Although the Cardinals (8-1) didn’t have Kyler Murray, wide receiver DeAndre Holmes and AJ Green, they were not affected by any during their season sweep against 49ers (3-5).
San Francisco lost two turnovers in halftime and struggled defensively to McCoy, a professional substitute who has won only two starts in the last 10 seasons. McCoy completed 22 of 26 attempts for 249 yard.
Connor ended the game with 173 yards. He now leads the NFL in touchdowns with 11 in his seven previous games.
The Nine have not won any of the four home games this season, and their record at Levi’s Stadium in the past two seasons is 1-8. San Francisco is four games behind Arizona at the NFC West. San Francisco cannot make more mistakes in order to be a non-card team and make it to the playoffs.
Jimmy Garoppolo did well passing for 326 yards with two touchdowns. But the Niners never developed a running offense. Their defense spent a lot time on the court. Gallopolo interceded to end any hopes of a comeback.
