Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice against Newcastle
Manchester – Cristiano Ronaldo scored double goals in his 12-year return to Manchester United, who defeated Newcastle 4-1 in the Premier League.
The Red Devils won the third round for the third consecutive time thanks to Bruno Fernandez scoring the third goal. Jesse Lingard scored fourth, giving them victory for the third straight year in four rounds.
Ronaldo scored the opening goal in the first period and then scored again at the end of the intermission to tie it. Manchester United scored a goal after Manguillo had made a temporary tie.
A majority of the fans who arrived at the stadium wearing a new jersey featuring Ronaldo’s name printed on it, saw their hope when the lineup was announced one hour before the game.
The Portuguese 36-year-old was mistakenly transferred to Juventus last year after returning to Manchester.
Cristiano Ronaldo was a Manchester United player from 2003 to 2009. He then won all Grand Slam titles, when he moved on to Real Madrid.
