The “Hamilton”ization of American musicals continues in this movie, featuring Cuban-born pop singer Camilla Cabello and London-born Nicholas Galicin (“The Craft: Legacy”) as her tall and handsome prince.
No matter how it’s updated, Cinderella will be the ultimate feminist movie. It tells the story of an underprivileged woman who rises in status after marrying the royal family. Kay Cannon, screenwriter and director of Wan (directed by Leslie Mann John Cena), did her best to make this movie “Cinderella”. Cinderella is a woman who seeks independence.
All of this cannot be overlooked the magnificent Prince Harry Meghan Markle. The royal family and their lavish decorations are still the focus of the world’s attention, despite the drama surrounding “Megxit” and “The Crown” carnival.
This Cinderella is a live-action Disney Cinderella that Lily James and I performed in 2015. It’s a cartoon-style musical with several new songs and major production figures. There are also several Rock and pop standard, including Madonna’s “Material Girl” and Queen’s “Somebody to Love”.
Cinderella is actually Ella. Ella lives with her cruel stepmother Vivienne (“Idina Menzel”) and Drizella (“Charlotte S) in the basement of Spencer’s luxurious house. Anastasia (Madi Bellio) are her neighbors. The basement is home to three talking rats, James Corden (also producer of the movie), and a caterpillar that Ella rescued from it.
Cinderella (inspired from Disney’s Crura)She aspired at one time to become a tailor and made dozens of sketches. This was a first for her. Her dream is to own her own business, which is not common for women. Instead, she was a servant to her stepsister and stepmother. Thomas Beckett (a local fool) also became interested in her.
The Prince Robert also refused to marry another royal and refused to expand his father’s kingdom, King Rowan, an angry, elderly man (an interesting Pierce Brosnan). Beatrice, the radiant Minnie driver and the king had a terrible relationship. The town’s vocalist (Doc Brown) is a rapper with a band to keep the public informed about current affairs. To be fair, Princess Gwen (Tallula Greve), is more suitable to be a monarch that her brother Robert.
We all know that Emmy Award winner Billy Porter (“Pose”) was the fairy godmother, actually the “mythical Godmother” or Fab G in this wake-up work. Porter allowed it to take effect. It is really necessary for Tatiana, the black princess to be called “the goddamn Queen”? Porter’s Fab G made a mouse an infantryman, a box a coach and put on a beautiful gown for Ella.
Yes, that fairy tale by Charles Perrault (17th century France) is stubborn. You can make it new by adding some Salt-N-Pepa, Beyonce and the White Stripes. The story ends with the kingdom’s unremarkable party mission as “Let’s Be Loud” singing and dancing. Galitzine and Cabello have a very strong chemical reaction. However, this Cinderella is still not top-notch.
(“Cinderella”) contains suggestive content and material.
