Players are required to participate in LMP pre-season training
After the start of the pre-season training camp, several Chihuahua players are preparing for the 2021 season of the Mexican Pacific League.
Two Chihuahus from Naranjeros de Hermosillo were selected to the preseason. One is Dylan Jasso, an infielder of Mineros de Parral of the National Baseball League, and the other is right-hander Ramón Carrasco, who is still participating in the Milwaukee Brewers in Arizona.
Although not all Chihuahuas reported, some haven’t completed their minor league seasons. But they will, once their team allows.
Similarly, pitcher Sergio Alvarado from Meoqui played for the Mexican Baseball League Yucatan Lions in the summer, and he was required to report to Cañeros de Los Mochis.
Tomateros de Culiacán also has a pair of Chihuahuas on the guest list for the training camp in September this year. They are Ricardo Estrada (San Francisco Giants) and Jameer Lile (Kansas City Royals). Both of them will end their rookie season playing in the Dominican Summer League’s minor leagues.
Parralense infielder Carlos Muñoz appeared on the Venados de Mazatlán training camp roster. Muñoz has many years of experience with Venados and Aguilas de Mexicali in the Mexican Pacific Union.
Although it is possible that some teams will increase their guest list beyond the preseason, others have not yet announced their active roster.
The Mexican Pacific League 2021 season will be announced on October 5.
Similarly, in several teams, some players are not Chihuahuas, but now or have participated in the state baseball league, such as Samuel Zazueta, Hector Galvan, Gerardo Sanchez, Jose · Southeda et al.
