The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced Friday that they had found that COVID-19-infected individuals were 11 times more likely not to get vaccinated than those who had been fully vaccinated.
The CDC publishes its weekly Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Review. saidUnvaccinated patients were more than 10 times more likely be admitted to hospital.
The study revealed that the CDC analyzed data from over 600,000 COVID-19 patients in 13 states between April and mid-July.
The study also revealed that those not vaccinated are 4.5 times as likely to contract COVID-19 as fully vaccinated.
The CDC stated in its report that these findings “reaffirm the high level of protection of COVID-19 vaccins against moderate and severely COVID-19 resulting ED, UC and hospital visits and emphasize the importance of complete COVID-19 immunization and the continued benefits of COVID-19 vaccinating during Delta variant predominance.”
