Although they might regret not scoring three points in the final round, forward Liam Miller wasted many opportunities in the second quarter, when the threat to the opponent’s goal was very low, it is something that the Canadians may regret.
The top three finishers advance directly to Qatar 2022. The fourth position advances to the intercontinental playoffs.
Mexico defeated Honduras 3-1 to lead the standings, with 11 points. With 8 points, Panama and the United States ranked second and three respectively. Costa Rica (6), El Salvador (5), Honduras (3) and Jamaica (2) are close.
