This weekend will feature 38 games in the games that began yesterday and ended Monday, November 21st.
This weekend saw the opening of the 2021 U-14 State Basketball Championship. It was a competition to see if different types of Chihuahua representatives teams can play together.
The competition will feature 14 teams (6 men’s and 8 women’s).
There will be 38 games played over the weekend by all three stadiums. The state championship started on Friday, and will conclude on Monday, November 21.
Each branch’s winning team will be the base team for the national team, and they will participate in the national basketball championship which will be held December 9th-12th.
The stadiums responsible for the duel are Bertha Chiu, Adaptado and Josué Neri Santos.
The national championships will be held at various venues in each branch. For the men’s title, state representatives must travel to Alamos, Sonora. While the women’s title will go to Oregon City (Sonora),
The competition system for the two branches is a round-robin. All teams are faced and the winner is declared the champion.
At the press conference, it was also announced that the first free state championship for basketball teams would be held at the border next week. There will be more than 40 participants from both the men’s or women’s divisions. All will receive passes for national competition.
